EventTracker Features - Alerting

EventTracker's alerting capability allows you to generate real-time alerts when critical events occur, including security breaches and performance problems. EventTracker provides support for:

• An unlimited number of rule-based alerts
• Customizable event criteria including event-fired automatic (custom) actions for any defined event
• Complex multi system events, in conjunction with the EventTracker Correlation Engine

EventTracker provides:

• Out of the box alerts for the most common predefined alert conditions
• Ability to minimize false positives
• Ability to suppress duplicate notifications
• Automatic firing of actions to increase system availability

Alert actions include:

• Email/pager
• Console message
• Execute custom scripts
• RSS Feed
• Forward either SNMP or Syslog message to other NOC software like HP/Openview, Tivoli, etc.
