Prism Microsystems, Inc. Announces EventLogReporter
Generate event log reports and perform analysis from a dedicated consoleCOLUMBIA, MD – August 1, 2006 - Prism Microsystems, Inc., a leading event log management solutions provider, announced today the release of EventLogReporter (ELR). ELR is an optional, dedicated web console to independently generate and manage reports from event log data collected by EventTracker. Users can perform sophisticated log analyses and generate both scheduled and on-demand reports independent of the real-time EventTracker Policy Console.
“The new EventLogReporter module fills a need for IT managers to allow other administrators and auditors separated from the main event log console, either by geography or domain, to create and manage their own reporting and event log analysis,” says Jagat Shah, EventTracker Product Manager, Prism Microsystems. “A secondary benefit of ELR is improved performance for organizations who mine event log data on-demand to perform complex forensics analysis. By separating reporting and analysis from the real-time functions of EventTracker both functions can be efficiently performed.”
EventLogReporter can generate reports from event log data collected by the EventTracker Console. The Windows DFS service is used to replicate highly compressed event data from the EventTracker Console to the EventLogReporter Server instances. ELR is hosted on IIS6.0 and uses the replicated data to generate reports.
