On-Site Installation and Deployment

Quick Start Agenda

This is the typical agenda for a 2-day on-site installation and deployment. Time requirements will vary depending on the nature and complexity of your environment and requirements.

Day 1

Session 1: Planning, network architecture


Consultant will work with the Network representatives to map out the most effective deployment; assess specific needs and define the Event Log Management Collection Nodes; map out the specific personnel who are to receive the Event Log Data.

Session 2: Introduction to EventTracker (classroom instruction)

Topics to be covered include: Introduction, Installation and components, Monitoring features, Managing systems, Managing event data, Reports, Power usage, Deployment, Support, Audit settings, Monitor application-specific logs, SYSLOG events, Custom event generation.

Session 3: Console software installation

Consultant will work with team to install and deploy EventTracker.

Session 4: Agent installation, Active Directory set-up

Consultant will work with team to install and deploy agent and set-up Active Directory

Session 5: Event traffic analysis, event filter definitions set-up

Consultant will work with team to set-up event traffic analysis and define event filters

Day 2

Session 6: Managing event data (classroom instruction)

Session 7: Alert definitions set-up

Session 8: Event Vault management

Session 9: Reports and definitions set-up

Session 10: Implementation wrap-up & review
